Group Tours

Shelburne Museum is one of the region's premier destinations for groups. Outstanding collections of art and Americana, exciting new exhibitions each year, beautiful grounds, a café with a diverse menu, and private guided tour options assure groups an enjoyable, unique experience.

Hours, Group Admission, and Policies

Hours:   10 a.m. - 5 p.m. daily, May 18 - October 26, 2008 and mid-May through mid-October in 2009.
Group admission:   $13
Group size:   minimum 15
Group driver and leader:   FREE
Parking:   FREE and plentiful
Suggested time at the Museum:   3 hours minimum

Private Guided Tours for Groups

Cost:   $5 per person plus the group admission rate of $13
Tour times:   9 - 11 a.m.; customized tour times may vary
Tour size:   minimum 15

Reservations are required at least two weeks before arrival date.

Suggestions for customized guided tours for groups in 2008 include: Mary Cassatt: Friends and Family - an exhibit focusing on the great American Impressionist painter's close friendships. June 21 – Oct. 26; Warren Kimble’s America – the most important works from the country’s best known contemporary folk artist . May 18 – Oct. 26; Design Rewind: The Origins of Innovation – traces the lineage of contemporary consumer products back to their design origins. May 18 – Oct. 26.

Highlights Tour

Shelburne Museum is famous for having it all – take the Highlights Tour and see why. Explore Impressionist paintings, the Museum's famous folk art collection, and the 220-foot steamboat Ticonderoga, a National Historic Landmark.

Customized Tour

Design your own tour based on the interests of your group, from art to antiques to maritime history.

 

Museum Café
A café on the Museum grounds is open during museum hours and serves a diverse menu. Boxed lunches and pre-paid group lunch tickets are available.

Shuttle Bus
A wheel-chair-accessible shuttle bus provides transportation around the Museum.

Museum Store
The gift shop offers a selection of Vermont-made products and items related to the Museum's collections. It is open 10 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. daily.
